Ichiche is a lifestyle design company, fusing the unconventional ethos of gypsy style with contemporary sophistication.

While travelling through Europe in 1991, founder Denise Spencer followed her creative spirit, sense of adventure and her heart and made her first trip to Istanbul to visit the boy she was dating. She went straight from the airport to the Grand Bazaar. It was that trip that set the stage for her life- long love affair with Turkey, its culture, and the boy who became Denise's husband.

Seven years spent living and working in Istanbul afforded Denise the opportunity to forge relationships with local merchants and craftspeople in the Grand Bazaar and learn the secrets of this legendary market. Eventually adopting a nomadic life peppered with travel and splitting most of her time between New York and Istanbul; Denise was inspired to establish Ichiche. A Turkish word that means "intertwined;" the name fits her life, world view, and approach to business and creative expression.

Through Ichiche, Denise manifests her dream to create beautifully crafted clothing and accessories that express not just an aesthetic, but a lifestyle. She is continually expanding her creative vision through travel, visiting new countries and old favorites. Drawing inspiration from the vast and varied sights, Denise captures experiences of each location and translates them into her designs. Each creation embodies the warmth and vibrancy of Mediterranean life: a tribute to global, bohemian chic and cultural heritage.

Denise's free time is dedicated to yoga, caring for numerous pets she has adopted, and spending quiet time with her husband at their homes located in New York City and Istanbul, Turkey.
